English gentlemen to keep a running tally of the day’s bag of game carried these in the field around the turn of the century. The four ratcheting dials (two on either side) are marked partridges, pheasants, hares, and rabbits. To fold it, the Canvas back is lifted off its post, which allows the arms to drop on their hinges to the sides of the legs. The X frame legs can then be folded, once their riveted locking bars are opened. Highest quality 24 oz canvas has been used making this one of the finest and strongest chairs for field use. It makes for a comfortable desk chair besides having been used in numerous Shikar camps in India during the early 20th century.

Campbell Military Chest
Military Chests are representative of the most common type of Campaign Furniture- this particular chest is based on a mid 19th century design. Without question, it was a part of every officers kit and accompanied them on postings.
