Military Chests are representative of the most common type of Campaign Furniture- this particular chest is based on a mid 19th century design. Without question, it was a part of every officers kit and accompanied them on postings. Brass bound, this chest of drawers can be dismantled into two parts and has removable feet making it ideal for travel- relieving the life of a soldier and explorer on the move. Items were often efficiently stored in the chest during transportation and easily reassembled on arrival.

The chest has five generous compartments in total- with two smaller drawers stacked on three long drawers. The rectangular top serves as a spacious stand for books, candle stands, maps, frames etc. Both sides are fitted with two sets of brass handles so they can be easily carried about.
